Khanom, Thailand

Thailand — Khanom , Thailand
Step into a rare, hands-on journey where the worlds of Yoga Adjustments, Thai Yoga Bodywork, and energetic anatomy come alive. In this 6-day immersion guided by GabeYoga, you’ll learn to see, feel, and touch with awareness, transforming your approach to yoga and bodywork from something simply mechanical into something truly magical.
Each morning begins with BikYasa or Vinyasa Flow, grounding you in strength, rhythm, and breath. Afternoons explore the art of Thai Yoga partner techniques, teaching you how to assist postures using leverage, sensitivity, and intuitive touch. Evenings invite you to settle into Yin Yoga and meditation, allowing the day’s learning to melt into deep presence and integration.
Between sessions, you’ll have time to experience the natural treasures of Khanom — from waterfalls and temple caves to pink dolphin excursions and refreshing mountain streams with natural fish spas. These moments of exploration create a beautiful balance of movement, stillness, and adventure.
Throughout the immersion, you’ll discover how to offer safe and effective yoga adjustments, develop Sen-line awareness, and cultivate the body mechanics needed to give without strain. You’ll learn the subtle art of breath-synchronized partner work, how to weave adjustments into both Yin and Flow practices, and most importantly, how to touch as a form of meditation, connection, and healing.
Guiding your experience is Gabe, an Ashtanga-inspired teacher whose modern, intuitive approach blends ancient wisdom with innovative techniques. His passion lies in bridging traditions, uniting diverse yoga lineages, and showing students how Yin, Flow, and Thai Yoga can support and elevate one another.
You will leave this retreat not only with new skills—but with a new relationship to touch, trust, and transformation.
Welcome to Aava Resort & Spa, a beachfront sanctuary where Scandinavian design meets Thai serenity. Nestled along the powder-soft sands of Nadan Beach, Aava blends modern elegance with tropical tranquility, offering the perfect space to rest, reflect, and reconnect.
Each room and villa is designed with a minimalist aesthetic that soothes the senses — clean lines, open light, and a gentle invitation to breathe. Step outside your private terrace and you’re just a few steps from the sea, where mornings begin with sunrise light dancing across the waves and evenings close with the sound of the ocean’s hush.
Between yoga sessions, unwind by the infinity pool, enjoy a traditional Thai massage at the Aava Spa, or sip a fresh coconut under swaying palms. The resort’s award-winning restaurant offers nourishing Thai and Western meals, prepared with care from fresh local ingredients.
More than a place to stay, Aava is part of your transformation — a serene home where silence feels full, nature feels near, and every detail invites your body and mind to exhale.

Gabriel Azoulay, known around the world as GabeYoga, is a master teacher, author, and healer with over 25 years of experience in yoga, Thai bodywork, and holistic transformation. His journey with Thai Yoga began on November 9, 2005, when he first met Master Healer Pichest Boonthume in Chiang Mai, Thailand — a meeting that forever shaped his understanding of touch, energy, and the art of healing. Since then, Gabe has returned year after year to study with Pichest, integrating traditional Thai wisdom with modern anatomy and yoga methodology. As the founder of BikYasa Yoga — a powerful fusion of Bikram precision, Vinyasa creativity, and soulful music — Gabe bridges East and West with humor, compassion, and depth. His approach to teaching adjustments and Thai Yoga emphasizes feeling more, forcing less — guiding practitioners to awaken intuitive touch, mindful presence, and energetic awareness. Having taught thousands of students worldwide, Gabe’s classes are known for being both technically intelligent and spiritually alive. He brings to each immersion a blend of discipline, storytelling, and lighthearted wisdom that reminds you why yoga — like touch — is ultimately an act of love.
