The 300-Hour Yoga Therapy Teacher Training is an advanced program designed to deepen and apply the skills learned in the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training. Spanning 29 days, this course focuses on the integration of traditional Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda, and modern medicine, creating a holistic approach to yoga therapy. The program tailors yoga practices to address the specific needs of individuals with health issues, such as heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, hormonal imbalances, and sleep disorders. It emphasises the mind-body connection, stress management, and the cultivation of overall well-being.
This course includes personalised instruction with a maximum of 10-12 students, ensuring close interaction with the Master and a deeper understanding of the therapeutic application of yoga. Students will learn to design therapy asana plans, manage the mind, and incorporate principles like the seven Dhatus from Ayurvedic science. The training also covers panchakarma and includes case study work, where students apply yoga therapy to real-life scenarios.
Upon completion, graduates will be prepared to offer one-on-one therapy sessions, creating customised plans for clients and incorporating various holistic practices, such as Dr. Bach and Kinesiology, if desired. The program provides practical, career-focused training to ensure that students are competent, qualified, and ready to teach yoga therapy from day one.
This training is open to both certified yoga teachers and those new to yoga therapy, with the requirement of completing the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training beforehand. Students will also need to pass an online exam, complete a 40-minute class teaching practice, and write an essay to graduate. Yoga Skyros Academy has been training instructors since 2005, ensuring a high standard of teaching quality and offering a nurturing environment for students to grow as teachers and individuals.
